Privacy policy

How Reservo handles personal information for restaurant teams, guests, and website visitors.

What this policy covers

This policy describes how Reservo handles personal information when you visit our site, use a Reservo account, or interact with a restaurant through Reservo. When a restaurant uses Reservo to manage guest orders, we handle that information on its behalf for that service. Restaurants decide how to use guest information for their own operations and can explain their own privacy practices. Reservo handles information for its own purposes when it operates accounts, responds to support, or protects the platform.

Information we collect

Account information can include your name, email address, sign-in information, and restaurant or team membership. If you use a connected sign-in provider, we receive the account information needed to sign you in. Restaurant accounts can provide business contact details, location information, menu content and branding.

Guest orders and support

A guest order can include your name, phone number if provided, table or pickup details, selected items, and notes you choose to share. The restaurant receives the details needed to manage the order. If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and attachments you send. Please share only what we need to help. Where the service says to pay at the venue, you pay the restaurant directly.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, route and display orders, support restaurant teams, respond to requests, and maintain and secure the service. We may use basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs to troubleshoot issues and prevent abuse. Sign-in cookies keep your session active. Where a law requires a legal basis, it may be providing a requested service, protecting our legitimate interests where permitted, complying with a legal obligation, or obtaining consent where required.

AI features

If we introduce an AI feature that processes personal information, we will explain what information it uses, why, and whether it goes to an AI provider before that processing begins. That notice will explain applicable retention, model training practices, and choices. Please keep payment card details, credentials, and sensitive guest information out of AI prompts.

Who receives information

We share order information with the restaurant serving you. Providers that help us host the service, manage authentication, or deliver account communications may process information to perform those services. We may disclose information when legally required or as reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate abuse, or defend legal claims. If a business transaction involves personal information, we will handle any transfer in accordance with applicable law.

Retention, security and transfers

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, taking account of legal obligations, security, and dispute resolution. Information a restaurant controls can be subject to its retention instructions and legal obligations. We use safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls. Service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use applicable safeguards for those transfers.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. If your request concerns an order the restaurant manages, contact the restaurant first. For information Reservo handles for its own purposes, email us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact and updates

Send privacy questions or requests to [email protected]. We will post policy updates here and provide additional notice or choices where required.
